Silver or Gold plated flatware items will eventually show wear in the form of scratches and dents. Minor wear can be professionally cleaned, polished and buffed to achieve its original luster. Dents and Scratches in Handles …
Over time, scratches and dents will occur on the handles of flatware that is used on a regular basis. Our silversmiths can restore original luster and beauty to these items quickly and economically. Minor scratches on Sterling flatware [sterling is almost always marked] can be restored to original luster using a buffing process. Silver-plated flatware pieces normally require re-plating. Dents will be skillfully removed by our silversmiths.
Engraved Monogram Removal …
As with dents and scratches, the process for Monogram removal depends on whether the piece is Sterling or Silver-plated. On a Sterling item [sterling is almost always marked] the engraving is buffed so the monogram will no longer be detectable. If the silverware piece is silver plated, after buffing. the piece must be re-plated. Contact us if you have a question.
